Most of the work happens quietly, before any court date is ever set. Seeing it broken down stage by stage makes the role far less abstract.
At the very start of a claim
Early work is mostly about the file itself: reviewing your police report, medical records and any correspondence you already have, and flagging what is still missing. This stage is closer to organising than arguing.
A lawyer at this point is building the foundation everything else depends on, not yet negotiating a figure with anyone.
While treatment is still ongoing
