What the work actually looks like
Most of a personal injury lawyer’s work happens before any hearing. They collect the police report, medical records and specialist reports. They also correspond with the insurer and press for the file to move rather than sit.
When an offer arrives, they check it against the heads of loss the law recognises, rather than the round number the insurer proposes. If the case does reach court, most motor claims are filed in the Sessions Court, which hears them regardless of size.[3]

Malaysian rules put real limits on what a lawyer may say to attract clients. A lawyer may not claim to be a specialist or an expert.
