Puspakom

Puspakom is the company licensed to carry out mandatory vehicle inspections in Malaysia, including checks on roadworthiness, structural damage and modifications.

After a road accident, a vehicle may need a Puspakom inspection before it can be repaired, re-registered or sold, and the inspection report can also support an insurer’s own damage assessment. This forms part of the vehicle inspection stage of a claim.

A Puspakom inspection deals with the vehicle only, so it runs alongside, rather than instead of, any medical evidence gathered for a personal injury.

Puspakom operates inspection centres across Malaysia, including in the Klang Valley, and appointments are usually booked in advance. A vehicle owner, rather than the injured claimant, is normally the one who arranges this inspection.
