e-Reporting is the online system that lets a driver lodge a police report for a minor accident without visiting a police station in person.

It is meant for minor accidents with no injury and no damage to public or third-party property, so a crash involving an injury still needs a full report made at the police station or IPD.^[1] More detail is in e-reporting for minor accidents.

Using the online system for a case it was not designed for could leave important evidence missing from your file.

The system still asks for basic details such as the vehicle registration numbers and the location of the accident, much like an in-person report. If in doubt about which type of report your situation needs, a station report is the safer choice.
